Check air pressure in tires for better gas mileage.
Clean or replace heating filters.
Check batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
Put masking tape on back of plywood to reduce splintering.
When removing no slip strips from bathtub, spray first with Spray 'n Wash of Shout and let sit 30 minutes. Remove with a razor blade. Repeat to remove any remaining adhesive.
Use a crumpled newspaper to polish window panes.
Fertilize houseplants with Sure Bloom.

Apply Merit for white grubs if not done in June until the 15th.
Apply Broadleaf weed control if necessary - Use Gordon's Speedzone with Spreader Sticker added or Bonide Weed Beater Ultra (already contains spreader sticker)
Fertilize container plants every 2 weeks with Sure Bloom or Hummert Flower and Garden with Nutri-life.
Keep deadheading spent annual flowers for continued bloom.
Check for spider mite damage, especially on plants such as burning bush or alberta spruce. Leaves may be speckled above and yellowed below. Evergreen needles appear dull fray-green to yellow or brown. Spray with Bonide All Seasons Horticultural Spray Oil. This will control eggs as well.
Don't pinch mums after mid-july or you may delay flowering.
Powdery Mildew is unsightly on lilacs, bit rarely harmful. Shrubs grown in full sun are less prone to this disease. Use Immunox with spreader sticker to prevent and control.
Dig potatoes when the tips die. Plant fall potatoes by the 15th.
Cover grape clusters loosely with paper sacks to provide some protection from marauding birds.
Continue to apply Mushroom Stuff in the garden and newly planted trees of shrubs.
Use Bonide Sucker Punch to kill sucker growth on trees before suckers reach 10 inches tall.

Apply final application of Hummert Flower and Garden with nutri-life or Sure Bloom to tomatoes and other garden plants.
